FOR GRANDMA Tears fall, they run, but try not to cry - She’s smiling now, from high overhead, Sitting, jubilant and resting, Thinking of all the love she felt. The light seemed to fade from so many lives, As she left and went into a sleeping spirit. But her light still shines, In a daughters laugh, Or the smile of a son, She’ll live on in them; The foundations of their lives. Her memories will stay; As words engraved in stone, Forever there, un-moving and steadfast.
